WI Hunting Land Entrance
This WI hunting land for sale property has numerous entrance points offering great accessibility to some of the best whitetail deer and turkey hunting spots in Southern Wisconsin.
This page reviews the main pasture entrance to this hunting land off of Sneed Creek road in Iowa county. The pictures that follow come from the pasture area outlined in red.
All photos are views as I entered the field on the left side of the valley and went West to East through the field. By the way, the year on the date information is off by one year. My brother and I took these pictures in 2008. This explains why these pictures are fantastically green for this time of year.
This first picture is what you see as you approach this property going North to South on the Sneed Creek road. The Sneed Creek itself is on the right and will be in later photos. The hill straight ahead is steeper than it looks! Another blog post will walk you through that part of the great deer hunting sanctuary.

This is your first full view of the property. This valley is contained by the two hills on either side and by a “Y” shaped valley going straight ahead. You can see that there was and are fields on either side with the streams feeding down the center of the valley. The property ends on the hill to the left (North) and goes way up the hill on the right to a hilltop ridge of unbelievable views.

This view is basically the same view as the last picture except that I zoomed in on the field/pasture on the right side.

This view is of the field on the left. It is steeper than it looks and runs all the way down to the trees in the distance. Please note the field is fenced so that you can run a few head of cattle here if you wished.

This photo is a zoomed shot from basically the same spot. The fence line is more noticeable and you can also see the pasture opening right in the middle of the far distance. At that point the pasture branches left and right for two different routes on the property. There is a spring in each of those branches.

Again this a shot straight up the hill on the left. Checkout the trees pulled from the woods. You will have all kinds of tree species to choose from here.

In this shot I walked up to the field on the left and looked back across the valley towards the Sneed Creek road. You’ll see a few cars going by just to let you know that other people are around but these views are simply great. In this spot you’ll usually see deer crossing between these hills. Get the scope ready because they don’t stand for long. This hillside is also a favorite spot for the turkeys. You will also see a pheasant here but the quail and grouse are in the brush near the sides of the ridge top field. We’ll go there pretty soon.

This is a better view to give you an idea of the slope of the hills here. Awesome, simply awesome.

This is a straight across the valley shot from the same spot (North to South). Did I mention this is a GREAT spot for 4×4 trucks and ATVs? It’s great for tractors too if you want to do some work like cutting wood.

This shot is about half way back in the field from the road. More great whitetail hunting land for sale here. Straight ahead is the second road access to the ridge top field.

Does it get any more beautiful? Straight ahead is the field gate in the corner of the fence so you can travel up the valley. This is as far up the valley as we’ll go this time. We’ll see more of that area in future posts. My dad, cousin, brother and friends dropped a lot of deer in that area.

Those trees look tame enough BUT you will soon see how step that hill is and the how much fun it is to walk it.

This is a shot near my truck talking a closer look at the stream running through the pasture.

And finally, we’re back to the Sneed Creek road.

Once again, a view of the valley from the road.

This completes the photos of the valley entrance. The next post will take a walk up the ridge road to our right on this picture. Once again, there are two ridge roads to access the ridge top field.
